Armstrong Thoroughbreds’ MISTY MAUVE (Paynter – Ticket To Seattle, by Capote) became our first winner of the new year with her win in a maiden special weight at Parx this afternoon.  It was a return trip to the Bensalem, PA oval for the 3-year-old filly who finished second there in her debut on December 13.

Misty Mauve was ridden in today’s 6 1/2 furlong dirt contest by Carol Cedeno, who was also aboard in her first start last month.  The pair took the lead at the quarter pole and never relinquished it, pulling away in mid-stretch to win by four lengths.  Job very well done, Misty and Carol…..and congratulations to Stewart and Larkin Armstrong on the win by their homebred!
