Well Done, Sir

AMO Racing USA LLC’s SIR LONDON became the latest winning collaboration between Graham and Jorge Ruiz, scoring at Laurel Park this afternoon.

Formerly trained by Simon Callaghan, the 5-year-old gelding came to Herringswell last September after running exclusively in California. He’s been well-traveled since joining us, making his first start for Graham at Keeneland in October before wintering in Florida with the Palm Meadows string. His first East Coast win came at Gulfstream Park on March 30.

Today’s outing was a one mile allowance on the turf with a field of nine. Sir London “stalked the pace along the inner rail, eased out three wide leaving the far turn, took the lead approaching the eighth pole and determinedly prevailed” to win by 1 1/2 lengths over a fast-closing Crisper.

Bred in Kentucky by Castleton Lyons and Kilboy Estate, he is by Malibu Moon from the Seeking The Gold mare Seeking Atlantis. Cheers to all of the connections on today’s win!
