Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners’ well-traveled YATTA scored her third career win this afternoon in a Tampa Bay Downs allowance. Sent off as the favorite, 3-year-old daughter of Yoshida (JPN) had the services of Jorge Ruiz for the one mile outing on the grass.

“Yatta unhurried, gained position on the two path through the second turn, came through on that path into the stretch, made a steady gain and drove clear late.”

She broke her maiden at Kentucky Down on September 7, 2023. She earned graded stakes placing three months later on December 2, finishing third in Del Mar’s Jimmy Durante Stakes-G3. Her second victory was this summer at Laurel Park on July 27. Her ten-race career has sent her beyond her Maryland base to Delaware, Virginia, Kentucky, California, Canada and now Florida.

Bred in Kentucky by Ken & Sarah Ramsey, Yatta is out of Final Reward, by Arch. She was purchased by Eclipse for $72,000 at the 2022 Keeneland September Yearling Sale. Cheers to all of her connections on win number three!
