Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners has another exciting youngster in YATTA, who notched her first victory today at Kentucky Downs in her third career start.

Eleven 2-year-old fillies lined up to go a mile in the maiden special, with Tyler Gaffalione up on Yatta. Tyler was also aboard in her last effort at Colonial Downs on August 12. Breaking from the rail, Yatta relaxed at the back of the field early on, caught up with the leaders into the stretch and proceeded to the wire 2 1/2 lengths the best under strong urging.

Yatta was bred in Kentucky by Ken and Sarah Ramsey and purchased by Eclipse at last year’s Keeneland September Yearling Sale  for $72,000. Out of the Arch mare Final Reward, she is from the first crop of multiple graded stakes winner Yoshida (JPN), earner of $2,505,770.
