Alice sent this photo of Stephanoatsee paddock schooling under the most beautiful blue sky. A friend in California told me it’s due to the Santa Ana winds that blow everything out to sea and leaves the sky this color. Gorgeous. Stephanoatsee is out there to run in the Strub Stakes (Grade II) on Saturday. […]

Arrive
Arrive won his first start today. He was close last time out and managed to fight the strong head wind they had today at Laurel to hold on. Congratulations to Dark Hollow Farm et al.
Ascauga stretches out
Ascauga won his first race over six furlongs and didn’t have a problem at all yesterday in stretching out to a one turn mile at Laurel. He looked relaxed and rateable and Jeremy was able to pull him back off the pace to come with a nice run down the stretch. Congratulations to Dunbarton Stable.
Back to the sun…
Actually, the weather isn’t too bad up here now the last couple of days! 68 later…. Photos below by Dana Wimpfheimer Antoine Hamelin, French Derby winning jockey, riding Under Control James Halliday on Stephanoatsee who arrived at Santa Anita yesterday to run in the Strub Stakes (Grade II) […]
Three times is a charm!
We like! Holiday Star won his second race in three starts. A little disappointing first time out at Keeneland he got his confidence on the turf at Tampa in his last start and stepped up today to win at Gulfstream Park. He was ridden by new ‘1,000 winners’ jockey Joe Rocco, Jr. (well, that was […]

Cerro
Cerro came over from Italy back in the fall, has run well in his first three races over here and made it a win today. He led wire to wire which maybe is the way he wants to run – he’s never got out of the gate quick enough before to do that! Congratulations to […]
Erasmo Tranquilino
All, Leigh Delacour asked me to forward the following: As you know we are stabled at Fair Hill in the spring, summer and fall racing seasons while at Tampa for the winter, and have a talented and valuable crew that follows our operation. […]
Million Seller’s first baby
Million Seller left us a couple of years ago and this is her first foal. She is Japanese bred by Million Gift out of a Sunday Silence mare. She loved to run long distances which of course wasn’t in her favor in this country but she did get to run in the Breeders Cup Marathon! […]

Thought it fair to show some Fair Hill cold photo’s as well as Palm Meadow warm ones! Photos by Kathee Rengert Robbie Walsh on Stormkeeper who has now shipped to Florida John Mitchell on Tape It John again on Rapscallion […]
