Last evening was a good one as Makayla’s Angel won for the second time, both her wins being at Delaware Park.  Kanagaro was also winning his second race, both of his too at Presque Isle.  Congratulations to Debby Oxley and West Point Thoroughbreds.

Her first run was supposed to be on the turf at Delaware but after all the rain she had to run on the dirt.  Thankfully she didn’t care as she won nicely by about 5 lengths.  Congratulations to Mrs. Thayer and Mr. & Mrs. Miller.  

Animal Kingdom had his first look at a British racetrack this morning when John Velazquez breezed him a half mile over the rain sodden Ascot turf.  That is something he might have to face running over there – soft ground.  It appears he handled it well but let’s hope it’s not soft on the day […]
