Hasay

photo by  Coady Photography Hasay, a filly Team Valor bred in England, won in good style at Keeneland today on their turf over one mile and a half.  She made jockey John Velazquez look big on top of her small frame, but she’s all heart and tough as they come.  At least being small she […]

He’s back!

Everyone has been waiting with anticipation for the big man to arrive and he got off the van from Florida this morning at Fair Hill – looking great as usual!  photos by Megan Jones             He’s always such a happy horse.  He enjoys ‘his’ stall at the barn as he’s […]

OwnerView

The Jockey Club have launched a new website called Thoroughbred OwnerView.  It’s a compilation of various trainers with their information.  One pretty cool link is the statistic link which I have copied.  It’s still in the baby stages and is evolving but a great tool for new owners to look up prospective trainers. https://www.ownerview.com/trainer/te-30393/h-graham-motion{jcomments on}

Grammy Pat

Won nicely at Philadelphia Park today under Kendrick Carmouche who made a wide move to sweep past the leaders to the wire, to win by 1 3/4 lengths.  The rest of the field was pretty strung out so it looked impressive.  Congratulations to Bushwood Stables.{jcomments on}

Two For Two

Photo by Coady Photography Let’s Get Married in the Pin Oak silks on the rail made it two for two yesterday at Keeneland on the polytrack, her first race win being at Tampa on the dirt.  The track as usual at Keeneland was lightning fast and showed some bias towards the front end horses but John Velazquez […]

BULLY!!!

It was a real treat this morning to visit Bullsbay at Northview Stallion Station in nearby Chesapeake City. He was such a special horse to so many of us here at Herringswell, and it’s especially gratifying to see him looking so happy and healthy. As these photos attest, he’s one big handsome guy!! {jcomments on}

Do It Luna

She just won her second race on the trot (gallop).  One month ago she won on the Laurel dirt and today was on the Pimlio dirt.  Each time she won with ease.  Congratulations to Bushwood Stables.{jcomments on}

Chappy’s run

Well, Lucky Chappy was a little sluggish out of the gate even by European standards but it was a tough race and he did his best. He finished 7th, just out of the money – urgh! None of the American horses hit the board so it wasn’t easy for any of them. I missed seeing […]
