Irish Defence

Irish War Cry’s big sister Irish Defence won her third race out of five starts today at Monmouth.  She broke on top, commanded quite a lead and won comfortably by five lengths.  Hope Jones, Isabelle de Tomaso’s sister was there to greet her and congratulations again for a ‘child’ of Irish Sovereign.

Older Boys Day

Ring Weekend (6) started off the day running a terrific race at Delaware to just miss but they set a track record so not too shabby!  Street Fashion (5) followed up at Belmont later in the day with a win.  That was his fourth win and has taken his earnings over the $200,000 mark.  Ring […]

Journey Home

Already a Grade 3 winner at Del Mar last winter she recaptured her form yesterday at Delaware in the Christiana Stakes, coming from last to first under a confident ride by Edgar Prado who also won on Boreale earlier in the day.  Congratulations to Sam Son Farm.   Photo by Hoofprints

Boreale

She’s run and won three races previously in France but this was her first start in this country.  She won a head bob this afternoon at Delaware – exciting but phew!  Congratulations to West Point Thoroughbreds.

Port Salerno

After being denied a win in her last start when she had to be pulled up while making her run for the wire when the race was declared a ‘No Contest’ a couple of weeks ago Port Salerno made up for it today with a nice win at Monmouth.  Congratulations to Isabelle de Tomaso, the […]

Eyeing Victory

He’s got to the winners circle eventually.   He’s never run a bad race, just hasn’t got his nose in front at the wire before but today was is day!  Congratulations to owner Albert Frassetto.

Sound The Horns Wins Again

He started late in his three year old career with a second, then a win and now on his fourth start he won again.  By Include out of a Fusaichi Pagasus mare he was another welcome winner for West Point Thoroughbreds last night, congratulations,

Little Lottie

She’s little but she’s tough – and maneuverable!  Yesterday’s chart read:  LOTTIE sat reserved in the two path to the quarter pole, picked up interest angling to the outside heading for the stretch, altered course into path six from upper to midstretch, closed in, altered course back towards the inside in deep stretch, influenced no […]
