Tusk

After wintering in California with not a lot of luck Tusk came back to the East Coast in style today, winning nicely at Laurel under Feargal Lynch.  Owned and bred by Flaxman Holdings this was Tusk’s second victory.

Animal Kingdom/Senza Paura Filly

Mr. Ueltzen kindly sent photos of his new Animal Kingdom baby whose dam Senza Paura Graham trained back in the 1990’s.  She was a good racehorse, winning 5 races including a Stake and Grade 3 placed.   Apparently he is already and handful so we’re told!    Another one he’s stamped well!  Congratulations.

Irish War Cry’s Baby Sister

Irish Sovereign foaled a new sister to Irish War Cry yesterday.  She is by Graydar and was born on the same farm in New Jersey as he was.  She has big shoes to fill!  Congratulations to all.

Memories Of Silver

Photo by Adam Coglianese   Party Boat added this Stake to her repertoir today at Aqueduct beating a smart group of fillies.  She is already a Stakes winner and Stakes placed for Mrs. Hope Jones, sister of Isabelle de Tomaso who owns our Derby contender Irish War Cry.   As mentioned before this is Hope’s first […]

A Rainy Day At Laurel

became a sunny day when it yielded a couple of Stakes wins. Danilovna came off her winter break to win her first Stakes, the Dahlia Stakes for Bjorn Neilson.  Not sure if many over here remember the great Dahlia in Europe but every time I see that name it brings back fond memories.  Congratulations to […]

Bella Bambina

After one and a half years off the track Bella Bambina won last night at Penn National in style.  Owners Dream Team Racing Stable have been incredibly patient with her during her re-hab from injury and major credit is due to Ali Rawles who took care of her during that time and brought her back […]

J La Tache

J La Tache added another win to her resume yesterday with an allowance score at Laurel Park.  Sprinting on the grass under Feargal Lynch, she overcame a rather busy start to swing six-wide around the turn and find her way clear late in the stretch. She finished 1 1/4 lengths in front of Baltimore Street […]

Battle Cry

What an afternoon! Irish War Cry roared his way back onto the Kentucky Derby Trail with a decisive win in the $750,000 G2 Wood Memorial Stakes at Aqueduct yesterday. Mrs. Isabelle Haskell de Tomaso’s homebred son of Curlin – Irish Sovereign (by Polish Numbers) more than redeemed himself after his perplexing performance in Gulfstream’s G2 […]
