Water Cube

Very well named as he is owned by Michael Phelps and his coach, Bob Bowman.  After a lengthy lay-off he ran today and was first in a gutsy finish at Tampa to win his first race.  Congratulations to Michael and Bob.

Sneaky Fair

First time starter Sneaky Fair won like a pro at Laurel today on the first really cold day of the winter we’ve had.  It was an easy win for this daughter of Elusive Quality out of a Sadler’s Wells mare.  Congratulations to owners and breeders Wertheimer et Frere.

Two runners and two winners today

We’ve been very quiet recently with runners and today the two that ran were both winners.  Envision Success kicked off at Laurel this afternoon and Jolity completed the double tonight at Penn National.  The favorites in both races mirrored them as both finished in second place.  Congratulations to Albert Frassetto for Envision Success and George […]

Stupefaction

4, 3, 2, 1 – not necessarily in that order but the 1 was today at Laurel!  Congratulations to Wertheimer et Frere, owners and breeders of their two year old filly Stupefaction who is by Elusive Quality out of a daughter of Halfbridled, who of course won the Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies.

Rafting Smooth As Air

Very corny I know!  Rafting won his first Stake today called the Smooth Air Stakes, named after the same who was  a multiple Stakes winner.  Ridden for the first time by Edgar Prado he spotted the field by two and a quarter lengths at the wire.  Congratulations to Wertheimer et Frere who are also the […]

I Like To Whim

Hopefully she enjoyed her first experience today at Laurel where she won quite handily, ridden by Forest Boyce.    She is beautifully bred by Medaglio D’Oro out of a half sister to Any Give Saturday and owned by Debby Oxley.  Congratulations.

Rusty Slipper on the Red Carpet

A scratch from the recent October sale Rusty Slipper consolidated the decision by winning the Grade III Red Carpet Stakes at Del Mar.  She just loves the rock hard ground, as her previous win a couple of starts ago was in the One Dreamer Stakes at Kentucky Downs on the same ground.   She was ridden […]
