Scholar Athlete 2013

Scholar Athlete came to us as a two year old and stayed until he retired at seven.  He was Graded Stakes placed and always ran his best and never gave up.  Like all the horses who are with you for many years everyone gets very fond of them and when they leave it’s as if […]

He’s No Lemon Wins Bald Eagle Derby

As mentioned in the ‘Three’s Company’ post He’s No Lemon won the Bald Eagle Derby over one mile and a half by default but he came from far back and widest on the turn, so he ran further anyway!  Congratulations to Alex G. Campbell, Jr. Photo by Jerry D., Track Photo, MD

Sweeping In

She was our final runner and winner to cap off a huge day yesterday.    She won easily by three lengths but she was leaving the field behind her at that.  Although it wasn’t a Stake it is so exciting for these horses to show their worth on the racetrack so very proud of her too.  […]

Fifth win for Cairenn.  A competitive allowance race at Colonial over seven furlong was her trip today.  A difficult distance but she has already been a Stakes winner at that distance.  A Florida bred by First Dude, congratulations to owners Heider Family Stables LLC, Madaket Stables LLC and Michael E. Kisber.

Saintly Samurai at Keeneland

The dark bay gelding owned and bred by Arthur Hancock’s Stone Farm broke his maiden today at Keeneland. “SAINTLY SAMURAI was bumped at the start, dueled early on, angled off the rail into the lane, shook clear in the stretch and held sway in the final stages.” It was lovely to see many of the […]

Malibu Uproar

Having always raced on turf and Tapeta until his first race last time out with us which was dirt, today was something different.  He was running on the dirt but ‘off the turf’, so running against turf horses.  Well, he bested the rest by two lengths!  Congratulations to owner and breeder Sam-Son Farm.

Mythical Mission Earns First Stake Win

With a well ridden ride in a tight knit race, Mythical Mission got her nose in front where it counted today in the West Virginia Senate President’s Cup Stakes at Mountaineer.  It seems every year we have a runner in this race and it take five minutes to write the name out!  We last won […]

Berned Wins Molly Pitcher (Grade 3)

There is absolutely nobody who doesn’t fall in love with this filly.  To know her is to love her!  Although she’s a Stakes winner, today was her first Graded Stakes.  She didn’t start her racing career until the middle of her three year old career but the wait was worth it as she’s now the […]
