How Long Have You Worked At Herringswell Stables? 18 years. I started working for Graham in 2000.

How Did You First Get In To Horses? I started working with horses at Belmont Park with my father Ramon Fernandez. I started as just a hot-walker and then became a groom. 

What Was Your First Job With Racehorses/On The Track? My first job with horses was my first job on the track. 

What Is Your Favorite Racing Memory? I think my favorite day of racing was when Equality won the Tampa Bay Derby for Pin Oak and Ramon Dominguez in 2002. It was so exciting to be with a horse that might go to the Kentucky Derby!

Any Other Fond Memories? My favorite filly that I worked with was Alternate. She was multiple Graded Stakes placed and she always tried so hard. Also, being around Better Talk Now and Film Maker when they were in the Breeder’s Cup races was incredible.
