Close Shave was a barn favorite at Herringswell Stables. Between his good looks and lovable personalty he left his mark on everyone he touched. Although Close Shave never had a diagnosable injury his soundness issues prevented him from reaching his potential as a race horse. His owner, Mr. Campbell, decided it would be best to find him a second career.

Close Shave was adopted by Becky Cornetta and is currently in training to become a 3 day event horse. The two are still getting to know each other but go on many hacks on a regular basis. Recently they have started learning the basics of dressage as well as some small cross country and show jumping jumps.
