Missed by a nose

Last week it was our turn with Cloud Scapes to win by a nose and yesterday Kitten’s Point lost by a nose – pity but that’s how it goes.  Kitten’s Point ran a terrific race in the Honey Fox Stakes (Grade II) at Gulfstream yesterday but just lost to last years repeat winner.     […]

Iconic Artist

In his first race Stateside he won!  He had had two previous runs in England with no success.  Congratulations to Qatar Racing and coincidentally he is bred by Pin Oak Stud.

So Kitten

After a disappointing first run So Kitten made up for it today by winning his race at Tampa by 3 1/2 lengths.  Congratulations to owner/breeder George Strawbridge, Jr.

George is 20!

Our top stable pony George (registered name of Peace Quest) turns 20 today.  He’s an incredible pony who has ponied all of our top stars in the past years and has been worth his weight in gold. Happy Birthday George.  The following photo was taken by Maggie Kimmitt (Graham Motion aboard) at Saratoga a few […]

He Stole The Show

Ring Weekend has been a different horse since being gelded at the end of last year.  In his first two starts this year he finished second (on the turf) and first (on the dirt) and today he took his chance in the Grade II Tampa Bay Derby.  He led from start to finish.  Congratulations to […]

Cloud Scapes again

Phew, that was close.  What a race.  Led the field, went wide at the turn, lost the lead and fought back to win the bob.  It was a very competetive field with good ex-European fillies but Cloud Scapes was the best!!  The race was the Hillsborough Stakes (Grade III) and it was the second Grade […]

Guts and Glory

After a lengthy delay which included two horses scratched at the gate Guts And Glory finally made his winning debut.  He’s a half brother to Lookin At Lucky who was of course a Stakes winner on the dirt but Guts And Glory likes the grass.  He had to wait for room at the furlong marker […]

Toby’s Corner’s full brother

Toby’s Corner has a full baby brother who is like his twin!  His name is Providence Road and the photo was sent from his owner Mrs. Dianne Cotter, who of course also bred Toby. Hopefully he is as talented, but what an exciting prospect.

Emotional Stroll at Laurel

He ran quite a nailbiter as he was ‘strolling’ at the back of the pack of quite a slow pace but Alex Cintron obviously knew what he had as he casually took the lead in the stretch to win nicely.  He most recently ran at Tampa twice on the grass but having won before at […]

Dido

After missing the whole of the 2013 season Dido ran a couple of weeks ago and finished third, with not the best trip.  She remedied that today and came back to win in good style at Tampa.  Many congratulations to one of the most patient owners in the business, owner and breeder Jack Swain III.
