Ilikecandy, (as I’ve said before, aptly named!) won the $100,000 Maryland Racing Media Stakes at Laurel today.   The official winning margin was seven lengths but she lost concentration up the stretch by herself and wandered around a bit so I’m sure it would have been at least eight.  Many congratulations to owner Robert LaPenta.

Ever consistent four year old Chairman Garey eventually got his head to the wire first yesterday in the 8th at Gulfstream.  Ridden, as he has been for the past few times, by Joe Rocco, Jr., the partnership made it a winning one.  Congratulations to owner Jack Garey.
