Too hot

Way too hot for racing today and they cancelled at Philadelphia Park. Can’t believe they are racing at Delaware Park but they are. The official temperature for the first race was 101. Just heard, cancelled after the second race!!{jcomments on}

Two And One

Two is the tally for today at Delaware Park.  Both Output and Cherokee Raider won their races so they are having a good July 4th holiday!!  Congratulations to owner/breeders J. V. Shields, Jr and J. Mack Robinson. To finish the day Clarinet won well at Philadelphia Park.  She was second in her first outing and has […]

Winning way at Belmont

Holy Moment got back into the winning way today at Belmont on their turf course. She won back in April in Atlantic City and this was her second win. Congratulations to J. Mack Robinson, owner and breeder who was at home watching the race with his grandchildren.{jcomments on}

Cherokee Is A Winner!

Another barn favorite, Cherokee Artist who is now 5 years old, topped the $600,000 mark today with his 6th win. He won at Belmont and was very well ridden by Ramon Dominguez. J. Mack Robinson is his owner and he bred him out of HIS favorite mare Race Artist. Congratulations to the Robinson family.{jcomments on}

Jades Revenge

What can I say about our favorite boy! Jade’s Revenge, having a new lease of life at the age of 7 won again at Delaware today. He has run on turf and synthetic in his long career but has now decided that dirt is his surface. It seems that Joe Bravo has set up quite […]

Bum Bum again

Little 14.2 hh Bum Bum did it again last night at Colonial Downs. Apparently they were in the paddock for about 45 minutes as there was a downpour. They were going to cancel and then decided to run on a sloppy track (it was scheduled for the turf), but she zipped across it like she […]

Missed it all!

….again! I wasn’t shopping this time. I was lounging on the beach! All the while Pendulum and Beatnik were winning their races. Pendulum, who has been off the course for a year almost to the day set a good pace in his race and drew off to win comfortably at Delaware on the dirt. Beatnik […]

Amazing Day

I went shopping all day today and only just got around to looking at the results.  Third, third, third, third, third!!!  The chances of that was pretty amazing, but good runs for everyone, certainly no disgraces there.  The next race was the All Along Stakes with Shared Account and I was thinking, surely another third […]

Double up!

Yesterday afternoon Sit Chilly won her first race at Delaware Park, battling back bravely after being headed in the stretch. This was her second try on turf and she seems to have taken to it. Congratulations to Bushwood Stables, owner and breeder. Smart Seattle was our other winner last evening at Penn National. Covered up […]

Here We Go, Go, Go, Go, Go, Go, Go

Some Saturdays, you scramble around (at least I do) a track whether it be Belmont Park or Delaware Park, looking for a specific simulcast television. “Ah, there it is, Monmouth! Here it is, I found Colonial! Where the heck is Presque Isle?” This Saturday that won’t be a problem. Seven runners will load up with Cooper […]
