Just Howard got back into winning form in a little easier spot for him at Laurel. He’s been running very well in Graded Stakes (beaten just two lengths last out in the Grade 3 Arlington Handicap) but yesterday’s win will have been a huge confidence booster for him. Congratulations to owners Skeedattle Associates

Dead Heat
Although dead heats are not unusual of course, they are rather unusual for two horses from the same barn. That’s what happened today in the 6th race at Saratoga with Strike, owned by Stone Farm, and Strike Me Down, owned by Sam Son Farm. Both dead heated for second place and only beaten a neck. […]
Colonia’s Day
We had 14 runners on this busy Saturday and although most ran very well, Colonia, our newest import from France who came to us at the beginning of May ran a terrific race, very European style, at the back, getting into gear down the stretch and passing her rivals in the Hatoof Stakes at Arlington. […]
Point System
Point System has now won 50% of her races, 4 wins out of 8 starts, with a couple of places thrown in between. The previous wins for this big, beautiful filly by Broken Vow were on the turf and she tried the Presque Isle Tapeta for the first time and found it quite to her […]
Shahroze Gets First Stake Win
Royally bred by HH The Aga Khan, Shahroze got cut off at the break and settled for last place most of the way around in the one mile and a half miles of the Grade 3 Singspiel Stakes at Woodbine. No worries though as this gelding by Holy Roman Emporer can switch off and needed […]
Stake Win For Peach Of A Gal
By Curlin, out of a Polish Numbers mare, the match works well for Peach Of A Gal. Previously Stakes placed when she was third in the Hilltop Stakes during the Preakness meet which is always a competitive race, she upped the ante yesterday to win the Christiana Stakes at Delaware. Congratulations to owner and breeder […]
Irish Strait Wins Second Stakes
As consistent as the day is long Irish Strait won his second Stake race today; he’s been placed in many others too. A half brother to Irish War Cry by English Channel he of course loves the turf and the New Jersey bred turf Stake at Monmouth today over one mile and one sixteenth fit […]
Bass Rock
Bass Rock came in to us almost a year ago and has taken quite a while to come to hand, running just one time last year, but Mr. Murray is thankfully one of our many patient owners. It paid off like this – BASS ROCK quickly went clear, set a rated pace off the inside, […]
Strike
By Smart Strike out of multiple graded stakes winning mare Owsley, Strike has the pedigree to be a good racehorse and to like the turf. He wasn’t handed today’s race easily as he was pressed a lot of the way by a long shot and when he did go to win his race he was […]
Maya Malibu ‘Off The Turf’
Although she was going to try her feet on the grass for the first time yesterday it played into her hands nicely when it came off due to the heavy rain on Sunday. Already Grade 1 placed twice as a two year old on the dirt Maya Malibu found her allowance race at Delaware a […]
