Special Select

Like a vintage wine, by Hard Spun out of an Elusive Quality mare, Special Select certainly has a vintage breeding.  He ran and won his first race at Presque Isle last night and congratulations to owner Robert LaPenta.

Cat Humor Strikes Again

After being second in the Crowd Pleaser Stakes last time out at Parx, Cat Humor found a great spot last night at Presque Isle to win his second race there this year.  He’s another who is not very big, but he makes up for lack of size with determination.  Congratulations to owner and breeder George […]

Tin Type Gal

For the longest time known as the ‘Miss Shop’ filly – she was named about three weeks ago.  Tin Type Gal is by Tapit and lived up to her beautiful breeding today at Saratoga when winning her first race comfortably.  Congratulations to owner and breeder My Meadowview LLC.

3 Today

Today we’ve had three winners (four if you count Miss Lombardi’s baby). First off was Irish Strait who has been rather unlucky since winning his maiden at Gulfstream Park at the end of the last year.   He dug in well today to win his allowance at Monmouth.  Isabelle de Tomaso, his owner and breeder is […]

Cowgirl Creed

An exciting day for the Wade family when Cowgirl Creed won her first race.  She was bred by David and runs in his wife Maureen’s name.  This was another five and a half furlong sprint on the turf and she is out of Undisputed Legend who Graham used to train.  Congratulations to them.

Split

Switching to turf after his first race on dirt, Split found this to his liking over five and a half furlongs today at Laurel.  He is owned and bred by a partnership of Dark Hollow Farm, Mr. & Mrs. David Schwaber, Mr. & Mrs. Arnold Davidov and Dorsey Brown.  Congratulations to them.

Fly Girl

A half sister to Air Alaska who is still running competitively at five years old Fly Girl was second first time out a month ago and today she won.  She is by Jump Start who seems to get runners at all distances – and jumpers too (Icabad Crane)!  Congratulations to Richard Golden, owner and breeder.
