Cannavaro 2014

A half brother to multiple Graded Stakes winning filly Fortune Pearl, Cannavaro began his career with promise until it was discovered he was a ridgeling and had to go to New Bolton Center to be gelded.  The surgery went great but he contracted Salmonella while there and had to spend a long time in quarantine, not just at the hospital but when he went to the lay-up barn.  He’s always been a very sweet, calm, laid back boy and with all the extra attention he was in his element!

When he eventually came back to racing he wasn’t the same horse so Fenneka and Dave Bentley bought him thinking a change of scenery might help.  Not really!  He was done being a racehorse but he did get to win and then he was retired.  Being a ‘special’ boy he had to have the perfect home for him and he’s found it in Texas with Bobby Covington.  He’s settled in so well and is much loved.
