European style suits Delacour By Doug McCoy OLDSMAR, Fla. – If you’re the kind of player who likes stables with a European flavor, then look no further than the Leigh Delacour outfit at Tampa Bay Downs. Like European horses, most of the residents of the Delacour shed row are turf runners. They are trained to […]

Winter Wonderland at Fair Hill
Check out new photos on our gallery. Lot’s of snow!{jcomments on}
Well, that was fun!
Digging the snow plough out that came to dig us out – not once but three times!!!! The snow was so deep (about three feet) and up hill; he kept getting stuck! Thankfully there were a few of us around to help. He said if he’d known he would have come earlier! Anyway, the snow […]
Two feet and counting……….
That’s the measure of snow we have on the ground right now, drifting in places so a lot higher. Way over my wellies, up to my thighs! It’s still snowing hard and apparently will be for the rest of the day so who knows what the total will be. At least the horses are in […]
Snow & Snowmaster
As the snow continues to drop over Fair Hill like confetti on New Years Eve, Turf Melody remained at Fair Hill on the morning of the Whirlaway Stakes at Aqueduct. The 3-year-old had been set to come back after a run in the Grade III Lecomte Stakes just two weeks ago. The Whirlaway, ran at 1 1/16 miles, […]
Stretching out

Congratulations to Darley Stable. ADDED DISTANCE AIDS UPSETTER SNOWMASTER IN LONG WALK HOME PURSE AT 1 1/4 MILES ARCADIA, Calif. (Feb. 4, 2010) […]
Better Than Bonds – again!
For the second week in a row he finished his show as reserve Grand Champion, competing against some significant and better other horses. He finished 1st, 2nd, 2nd and 3rd in his classes. Again, well done Bondsy and those competing him. We’re very proud of you all.{jcomments on}
Capping off
To cap off a pretty good day yesterday for Mr. J. Mack Robinson, his six year old mare Drop A Line opened the 2010 season with a third at Gulfstream. It was a good effort, not having run since last October at Keeneland (where she was also third).
Cherokee Queen
Won at Gulfstream in a competitive allowance race this afternoon. It was a well deserved result, especially as she just missed in her previous effort in exactly the same kind of race after being caught in traffic. It was also Jeremy Rose’s 2,000 winner so that was rather fitting! Congratulations to him and also to […]
Phew!
That was a breath stopper!! Watching Sin And The City run fast fractions with Harry Vega at Laurel, being pressed all the time by another runner who wouldn’t give up, but still holding on VERY gamely at the wire!! First time blinkers made him very sharp but also kept him honest. Congratulations to Larry Johnson.{jcomments […]
