Tale Of Life

Since arriving from France last July Tale Of Life has run some good races on the turf, but he has now found a comfortable home on the dirt.  Second last time out on his first try on that surface at Santa Anita he bested that today by winning by 4 3/4 lengths at Keeneland.  Congratulations […]

Valued Strike

After a break of eight months, Valued Strike won her first race back on Sunday in a one mile allowance on the turf at Laurel Park.  The lightly-raced 4-year-old filly has now won three of her five races. Congratulations to owner George Strawbridge, Jr. who also bred this daughter of Smart Strike from the Deputy […]

GIRLS RULE!

Photo by Coady Photography The Club Racing Stable, Sagamore Farm and Allen Rosenblum’s MISS TEMPLE CITY returned to the races after a six-month freshening with a sparkling win in this afternoon’s Grade 1, $300,000 Maker’s 46 Mile Stakes at Keeneland. The only filly in the tough field of nine, the 4-year-old daughter of Temple City […]

Lottie

Lottie is the first foal out of Apple Charlotte who was a Grade Stakes filly for us.  She took four tries to break her maiden but she has been unlucky in her races, until yesterday that is, when everything went right for her at Santa Anita. She circled her field on the outside (no trouble […]

J La Tache

It seemed for a while that J La Tache might be a professional maiden, finding ones just too good each time of her last seven races!  She had been running in the best company though, so not that disgraceful, and she was finishing on the board!  Today though at Laurel it all changed and she […]

Nothing Can Be Finer

It’s The Truth

It’s The Truth won today after three previous misses.  She found the extra distance much to her liking.  Congratulations again to George Strawbridge, Jr.  Most of his runners are home breds but he bought It’s The Truth as a two year old last year.

Jolity

Jolity made it our second win on the day.  She won her last race too so is now the winner of two races from four starts.   We had her mother Saucey Evening who was a multiple Stakes winner for us.  Congratulations to George Strawbridge, Jr., who is also the breeder.

Aegis

By Bellamy Road out of an A.P. Indy mare Aegis appreciated the longer distance from his first race and handled the mile and one-sixteenth at Laurel today like a pro.  He had a strong lead but he was tiring at the wire from his effort.  All part of the learning process for next time.  Congratulations […]

Spring Quality

Spring Quality ran his first race and won it a year and a half ago on the Keeneland polytrack.  After a few stops and starts in training he came back today for his second start on the dirt at Tampa and won that race nicely.   He’s a big, kind horse, a real teddy bear!  Congratulations […]
