This horse was sent to a new trainer and had rather a checkered history. I had asked the latest trainer to let me know when he needed to be retired but he sent him to a lady in northern Ohio who had him for about a year and then couldn’t keep him. She was on a time limit to move him on so the Thoroughbred Retirement Fund had a spot at their Maryland Correctional Facility and said if we could get him down there he would have a home. The wonderful van companies got him there to here where he spent a couple of days before going to his new home. Apparently he settled down immediately and has been a hit from the start!

I just had to send this picture over to you guys of Don’t Quit Dreaming. I went to visit the TRF Program in Maryland and the guys LOVE this horse. Apparently, he loves them as well. The farm manager said he loves the guys with shaved heads because he scratches his face on them.
I had to get a little creative with the picture since I don’t have a photo release for the inmate and I can’t share it on social media or in press, but it was too cute to not at least send to you and just cover the guys face. The guys absolutely love working with this horse. Thank you to everyone at Herrinsgwell Stables for helping give him a loving home (in prison!) and a second chance.
